Vardia Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vardia - Shift & Pay Tracker ("Vardia", "the app") handles information when you use the app. Vardia was created by Nikolaos Siatras.
Information stored on your device
Vardia stores the workplaces and shifts you create, payment details, notes, language preferences and app settings in the app's local database and preferences on your device. This content is used to provide shift tracking, calendar views, working-time calculations, earnings summaries, backup and export features.
Workplace names, shift details, payment amounts and notes are not intentionally sent to the developer, Google Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics or Google AdMob.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Vardia uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve its features and reliability. The Google Analytics for Firebase SDK may automatically collect:
- An app-instance identifier and advertising identifier.
- General location derived from a masked IP address.
- App lifecycle information, such as app launches, sessions and screen views.
- Device, operating system and app version information.
- Interactions and events generated while using the app.
Vardia does not create user accounts and does not intentionally attach your name, email address, workplace content, shift content or payment details to Analytics events.
Firebase Crashlytics
Vardia uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and improve app stability. Crashlytics may automatically collect crash stack traces, relevant app state, device metadata, app and operating system versions, timestamps, installation identifiers and diagnostic information. When Analytics is enabled, Crashlytics may also receive breadcrumb events describing app actions that occurred shortly before a crash.
Google AdMob
Vardia uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share the following information with Google and advertising partners for advertising, analytics, ad measurement, security and fraud prevention:
- An IP address, which may be used to estimate general location.
- Advertising, app-set, device and related account identifiers.
- App launches, ad views, taps and other interactions.
- App, device, SDK performance and diagnostic information.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choices, device settings and Google's policies. Advertising content is supplied by Google or participating ad partners, not selected individually by Vardia.
Consent and privacy choices
Where required by law, Vardia uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent before requesting ads. You can review or change available advertising consent choices through Settings > Privacy choices in the app when that option is required for your region.
You can also reset or delete your Android advertising ID through your device's privacy settings. Changing a consent or device setting may affect ad personalization, but it does not remove ads from the app.
Third-party processing
Google processes information collected through AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics under its own terms and privacy policies. Processing may take place in countries outside your country of residence where Google or its service providers operate.
Backup and export
You can create JSON backups and CSV exports from Settings. These files may contain personal or financial information. You choose where exported files are stored or shared and are responsible for protecting and deleting them. Restoring a backup replaces the current workplaces, shifts and settings.
Retention and deletion
Information stored locally by Vardia remains on your device until you edit or delete it, clear the app's storage, uninstall the app, or use Delete all data in Settings. Exported files must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.
Google retains Analytics, advertising and diagnostic information according to its product settings, retention schedules and legal obligations. Firebase states that Crashlytics crash stack traces and associated identifiers are retained for 90 days before the deletion process begins.
Security
Vardia relies on Android's application storage protections. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads and Analytics SDKs is encrypted in transit, and Firebase encrypts Crashlytics data in transit and at rest. No storage or transmission method is completely risk-free, so keep your device and exported files protected.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent. Most content you enter in Vardia can be viewed, edited or deleted directly in the app. For requests concerning information processed independently by Google, use the controls and contact methods provided in Google's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Vardia is a work and earnings utility and is not directed to children. The app should not be used by anyone who is not legally permitted to use an ad-supported service in their country without the authorization of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Vardia's features, service providers or data practices change. The current version will remain available inside the app and on this page.
